Eli - puppy social hour!

The puppies react now when someone comes

near the box

They want to be held and played with!

Eli had a great time...

Although they have sharp nails...

He tried to keep them from scratching him!

Samuel can not get enough of the puppies...

he would sleep with them if he could!!!

Getting Commfy!

Samuel is completely comfortable with the puppies...

Not sure if that is good or bad!

Gracie is also comfortable with the boys

he was so thrilled that this puppy

went to sleep right there next to him.

Puppy Love

This is only the second time Eli has held the puppies

he finally got enough nerve to hold them again!

He is so careful and gentle....unlike SAM...

Sam loves the puppies but he moves to fast
and not very careful...he has to be watched
EVERY min that he is in the room with them.

They are so much fun!

Samuel...Puppies Day 2 & 3

Day 2

Sam loves the puppies, it is so hard to keep him away.

He tries to be so careful although he doesn't really know what tha means.

What a fab smile!!!!

On Day 3 (Friday) ...when we brought them back from the vet

and were putting them back in the box he picked one up by it's tail...

so he could not hold them or pet them for the rest of the day....

VERY SAD DAY!!!

More Puppy Pictures

Samuel can not get enough of the puppies,

he hast to be watched every min.
or he has his hands in the box
and on a puppy!

Gracie is really good with the boys,

but she has had enough of people taking her puppies!

Here she is...as soon as Eli lowered the puppy

she (Gracie) grabed the puppy from him.

That scared him a little even though

she did not even touch him,

he was ready to be done

holding for now!

The Puppies Have Arrived!

Gracie went into labor yesterday in the afternoon

about 4am she had her first puppy
We did wake the boys up to watch,
Sam was way into it through the 8th puppy,
Eli went back to bed untill puppy number 4
then we woke him again becasue he had not actually
seen one be born yet and I wanted him to see it.
At that point he did not go back to sleep at all...
Sam went to bed after puppy 8 and is still sleeping at 8:20


She did not know what to do, throughout the whole litter delivery she never looked for the puppy once it came out we had to give it to her and break the placenta from the face, she took it from there.

It took until about 6:30 to complete the deliveries

We ended up with 9 puppies in all...

at first look it seems we have 8 male and 1 female,

if I didn't skip some and look at others twice :)


The boys ar looking forward to being able to hold them later today!
