Pumking Carving!

Finally the pumpking is carved!!!

Isn't he cool? The boys thought that it was amazing...
They are very proud of their work!

It was cold and windy but the kids had a blast...I thought that we were in the arctic.
I loved watching every min of their trick or treating but I was so glad to get back into the house with a hot cup of coffee.
We only went on our street and half of the adjoining street, which was only about 30 houses but it took us over an hour (way to long for mama, but papa thought we should go further - he loves trick or treat)

They were all so polite, they even said trick or treat it was so fun...

We went with the neighbors, the princess is Olivia.

but he didn't like them till his hands got cold!!

Why oh why is tricker treating so early!

I just found out that tricker treating is tomorrow!!! Oh my gosh...so much to do and now so little time. Here I thought I was doing so good I have their costumes made...except I realized yesterday that a bee has wings and I did not make wings for Eli's bee costume...what to do...anyway... what I have not done is to find all the things that I "thought" I had for their costumes...I do hope I was right.

Yesterday Eli decided he did not want to be a bee he wanted to be a "coon" (for those who don't speak pre-schooler..that's Racoon...please tell me who want's to be a racoon, that's crazy. Anyway I convinced him that a bee was better...I don't think he believes me!

They boys are so excited about tricker treating...can't wait to share the pictures...this will be the first year that they have been building up to the experience and know what to expect.

Pumkin Gutting!!!

We have now gutted the pumpking however, it has not been carved yet...

Samuel was into it from the very start...Jim cut the top off and he was ready to go...

Eli watches for a little while before he was ready to participate first hand...
he thought it was sticky!

Finnally he touches it but is not very happy about it...Samuel on the other hand loved the "punkin goo"

It was a blast!!!

Don't know when we will get to the carving part...
maybe next year lol...

It was the verry end of the season so we did much scavanging for good apples that had been blown to the grown or dropped by the harvesters...you would be amazed at how many perfect apples there were laying ont he ground!

King of the Pumpkin!!

We went apple picking...yes again...and they had a huge pumpkin patch. Despite the fact that we have a huge pumpkin from our garden they wanted to pick one from the patch.
I let them have their picture taken but we did not buy a pumpkin!

Raking Leaves!

Well, it is leaf raking time...my personal "favorite" time of the year (lol). The boys are having a blast...so far...it is after all the begining of the season.

Do you think they will get tired of them?...No me either, but I know I will!!!
