Wednesday Aug 10th 2011...Oh My Gosh

So today was supposed to be a relaxing play at the house with the cousins day.
Micha and Auntie Erin were to come over and play on the water slide.

BUT....

Sam woke up and could not walk on his foot because it hurt so bad.
The cast came off over a week ago and he has not been able to walk
normal on it ever since. Though he complained that it hurt it was not so
bad that he did not want to bear weight on it.

So we decided to take him to the ER.....

Needless to say his break is not healing as well as it we thought, he may have even injured it more over the last week and he is now back in a splint.
No weight on it, no hopping around, no playing...again for who knows how long.

So sad...what a stinky month!

Wed 8.9.2011 - Trip to the Magic House

Tuesday we decided to go to the Magic House
 (it's like the Khol's Children's Museum)

There are lots of things to do see and most
importantly touch.
This was in the sound area. Showing how vibrations
make sounds on many different exhibits

The favorite exhibit is the Jack and the Beanstalk.
This is where we spent the majority of our time.

They have a really cool construction area.

Outside they have a water exhibit that has an island
with a "river' going around in it that the kids can play with
rubber ducks and boats.

As always it was a good time.

See Amy's blog for more pictures in other areas...

Six Flags St. Louis

This was our second trip to Six Flags this year.
Sorry pictures from the first are stuck on my phone.

It was so fun. The St. Louis Park is very different than Grunee.
The kids went on lots of rides.

Samuel is a roller coaster lover.
Eli tries everything but doesn't find
many that he wants to go on again.

It was very hot...water rides were great.
They went on this ride at least 4 times.

This was the scooby do ride you got to use the
green laser guns to shoot targets during the ride through
the dark creepy tunnels.

It was fun...I won!

Am Thunder is their wooden coaster. It goes over 50 MPH.
This was the Beachy kids first trip to Six Flags
and this was the first ride they chose to go on.

Not a good choice, it was very scary.
But they all survived.

Sam was dissapointed he was to short to go on with them.

Trip to St. Louis (Sat Aug 6th)

Saturday we took the train to St. Louis
We left the house at 4:20 to catch the metra from
Waukegan to Chicago

We arrived at Ogilvie Station then had to walk to Union Station
our train left Union Station at 7 am

Though we had a blast it was a long day
we were supposed to get into St. Louis at 12:20
we did not get there till after 1:20

Who knew trains could be late!

Last Day of Backyard Club

This was the last day of backyard club.
Sam is getting his cast off the next day so he got to
play on the slip and slide with the kids.

We still bagged it but after awhile he had ripped 3 big holes
in the bottom of the bag.

It was lots of fun...
