Ok so Devan still has NOTHING but Jim got another one today...unfortunatly it is what is affectionatly known as a button buck.
For those of you who do not know that is a buck that has not yet grown it's antlers...or to break it down further a BABY (not much bigger than a large dog)... we are all sad for that poor baby but to his credit he thought it was a doe (so did another hunter that missed his would be shot) or he probably would not have shot at it.
The "guys" were giving him a very hard time...they had finally stopped razzing him when I came home with the boys and Eli said...
"PaPa is that a coyote?" - we have been talking a lot about coyote's since we have many of them around the property on a pretty regular basis...
That got them all laughing again. The innocence of children.
