The Snow of 2011

Some pictures to share...over 20" came down, we have drifts up to 4 ft in the yard!!!

 Jim and Dad have been out doing snow duty since about 10:30 am, this after Jim and I spent over 2 hours out last night clearing the first 8 inches from our house and the neighbors!

 Sam likes it when Jim blows the snow over him and some of it falls down on him.

 Good thing we brought in pleanty of wood before it started snowing!!!

 The Cat is in her house somewhere below there...

Outside the back, this shows how deep most of our yard is,

some places are deeper, few are shallower!

Halloween @ School

Friday was the boy's halloween parties at school!

I bounced back and forth between the two.

They were very different!

Samuel's Class

They were the second class in the "Halloween" Class Parade!

Mrs. Emerson mad them a really fun game

that they got to decorate...see video below!

Eli's Class is waiting to join the parade.

After the last class goes through they will get up and follow.

This is Jameece...Eli LOVES Jameece!

They played a fun game, where's the ghost.

One student waits in the hall way while they

choose another student to hide.

This is Eli's turn, he had to come back in and try to

figure out which ghost is missing.

For Eli's turn the entire class hid from him...it was lot's of fun!

Samuel...off to Kindergarden!

Eli - Second Day of 1st Grade.

Eli was very excited to go to school today...

however,

when he asked when the bus would be there I had to

tell him that he was not riding the bus...he was NOT

a happy camper...he kept insisting that the bus

was coming for him.

I told him to go get in the bus...

the gray one on the driveway...

he came back in the house,

"Mom, that's our van!"

2nd day of school...first full day...

He went into the building and to his class all on his own!!!

Eli - 1st Day of 1st Grade

Eli was so excited to go to school.

"I am nervous to stay without you!" with

his big brown eyes and concerned look.

Oh The Pain

So Eli and Samuel needed at "thump" on the hands for touching something that they should not...

I thumped my best thump...just one...

Eli says to me when I was through "I am not going to cry...but don't worry mom it hurt ALOT!"

Gone Again!!!

So yesterday Devan left home again...possibly for the last time :(

Her friend "Andrew" moved her into her dorm room yesterday afternoon and in January sometime she will be moving into an apartment. She signed the lease on Saturday.

The boys are devistated that she is gone and of course she told them that she was leaving "forever" which sent Eli into a complete break down.

Jim, Karen, Eli, Samuel and I went to take her (and Andrew) out for dinner last night and see her room (it is small but private...their own bathroom in their room and it even has a bathtub!)

The boys were thrilled with being back at "Devan's School" however, after dinner when we were saying good by the flood gates opened once again. Karen had to ride in the back of the van just to comfort Eli. His "heart was breaking" it was very touching. THANK YOU DEVAN!!!

We got home and I offered to let them sleep in Devan's bed...Samuel did but Eli was to sad to sleep in her bed "if I don't see her before 3 days my heart will break" he said.

Well drama has stopped but we are not mentioning her name here today just to be safe! :) lol.
